Statistics: Russia’s inflation speeds up to 0.2% in Apr 13–Monday
MOSCOW, Apr 21 (PRIME) -- Russia’s inflation sped up to 0.2% from April 13 through Monday and reached 2.5% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
The egg prices grew by 1.5% on average in the period, poultry prices remained flat, sugar prices increased by 0.5%, sunflower oil prices rose 0.3%, flour prices increased 0.1%, macaroni goods and dark bread became 0.2% more expensive, prices for bread and bakery goods rose by 0.5%, for buckwheat prices by 0.5%, and for rice by 0.1%. Millet became 0.2% cheaper.
The fruit and vegetable prices grew by 0.4% on average. The carrot prices increased 1.7%, cabbage prices 1.6%, potato prices by 1.5%, onion prices by 0.5%, apple prices 0.4%, and cucumber prices 0.2%. Tomato prices fell 1.4%.
Gasoline and diesel fuel prices remained flat.
